AI Agent conference

I’ve been at the AI Agent conference in New York which runs through tomorrow. I’ve been to a lot of conferences in my career, but I can confidently say that this was definitely the most eye opening purely on the fact that everything is so nascent.

When I got back to the office, I joked that a when I saw my first no code AI agent platform, my mind was blown with what could be accomplished so quickly. Fast forward to today, and I saw numerous other startups that I’ve never heard of with nearly an identical platform.

The presentations from the speakers were a mixed bag as always, but one of the takeaways from the handful that I sat in on today is that everything is early and no one really knows for sure how to do things fully yet. I did learn a lot of best practices from an organizational standpoint which was incredibly helpful.

In terms of the startups that I met, it was interesting as it felt like half the booths were 10+ year old companies launching new AI products like a startup again. Everyone seems to be reinventing themselves to become AI native nowadays.
