How big will they get?
The World Cup has been a very fun kick-off to summer. We’re no strangers to tourists here in New York but seeing packs of visitors from various countries is really cool to see. The reaction on social media has seemed to be fairly positive as people from all over the globe come to visit the U.S. It’s a great reminder of how awesome we have it in this country. We’re not perfect by any means, but I firmly believe that despite our faults, this is the greatest country in the world.
On the work front, SpaceX announced that they are buying cursor after their successful IPO. The acquisition makes sense on many levels as SpaceX has compute and Cursor has distribution. In a world where models and capabilities are far outpacing the compute, it’s hard to see SpaceX not in a prime position to capitalize.
We are in a world of mega companies in the U.S. with the 10 largest companies representing almost 40% of the entire S&P. In a world of AI, how much bigger will these companies get as they possess the actual capital to get access to the compute in this AI war?
