Optimism in Silicon Valley

I’m in Palo Alto for an investor conference and it’s been nice to get away from NY and get back to the heartland of tech. There’s a ton of interesting companies here that we don’t typically get to work with, whether they are just too early or in an industry that we just don’t focus on. Going to the humanoid robot demonstration just to see things live has been something that’s fun.

The overall view from the bankers here is one of optimism. The head tech banker expects to see 2027 become a year of IPOs greater than 2021. It’s a bold prediction and truthfully one that is self-serving for the bankers. With that said, it’s a prediction that I’d be more than happy to come through so I’m rooting for him to be right.
