Reflecting

At the end of each quarter, I always take time to reflect on what worked, what didn’t, and how I can improve. This always happens whether it was an overall good, mid, or bad quarter. This time around likely warrants a larger reflection.

From a personal standpoint, I’ve made a lot of strides the last couple months but I’ve really let work and macro events outside of my control really seep into my life and affect things more than it should. That has been a big issue in my day to day despite making it a goal of mine to focus more on my health and stress levels.

On the work angle, we did accomplish a lot. But Q1 will always be a challenge given everything going on such as closing out the prior year, planning for the year ahead, and a naturally slower time frame. Of course, there’s always lots to unpack and I think this quarter will be especially important as there’s been lots of changes in the world and at the company.

I’m looking forward to taking time next week to sit down when the dust settles. It’ll be a good time to unwind, reflect, and get better for the year ahead.
