Security scramble
I got a full 8 hours of sleep last night and woke up feeling refreshed. I started my day with a hard run in the morning before work, and I’ve been knocking everything off my checklist quickly. I wish every day could start like this.
The big news of the day/week is the global cybersecurity issue over the PHP programming language. Researchers used frontier models to discover vulnerabilities in the language and leaks on those warnings put businesses and governments in a scramble.
With nearly 70% of the internet’s website containing PHP, there was a lot of panic with governments shutting down their own websites at times. It seems like everything has been contained for the most part, but I can imagine that this may just be the start of a pattern. Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better.
